God wants to use our rough experiences for our good and his glory. Only through tough times do we develop strength, patience, and endurance. And in those difficult days, God gains glory as he demonstrates his faithfulness. But the process is a joint venture. We cannot accomplish it in our strength alone, and he will not do it without our participation and cooperation.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Scripture commands us:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>Rejoice always,&nbsp;pray continually,&nbsp;give thanks in all circumstances;&nbsp;for this is God\u2019s will for you in Christ Jesus.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p><cite><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=1+Th+5%3A16-18&amp;version=NIV\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">1 Thessalonians 5:16-18<\/a><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>In other words: God\u2019s will for his children is always and at all times\u2014no matter what our circumstances\u2014to rejoice, pray, and give thanks. The key to obedience is to focus and depend on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>El Roi\u2014the God Who Sees and Hears Us<\/li><li>El Shaddai\u2014the God Who Is Everything We Need<\/li><li>Immanuel\u2014the God Who Is Always Present<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why Rejoice, Pray, and Give Thanks?&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Because:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>\u2026 we know that in all things God works for the good&nbsp;of those who love him, who&nbsp;have been called&nbsp;according to his purpose.&nbsp;For those God foreknew&nbsp;he also predestined&nbsp;to be conformed to the image of his Son<\/em><\/p><cite><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Romans+8%3A28-29&amp;version=NIV\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">R<em style=\"font-size: revert;\">omans 8:28-29<\/em><\/a><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Thank God for his power to bring good from evil, sweetness from bitterness. When given the opportunity, he turns darkness to light, despair to hope, and death to life for those who love\/follow him. Because he loves us, he is present and working, even in our darkest days, to make us into the persons he created us to be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The challenges we face change us.
