Meet Nancy

What does an “All of God for All of Life” mindset look like in the real world? Nancy Lucenay helps believers answer that question by bridging biblical faith and everyday life.

For over fifty years, Nancy has taught and encouraged Christians to follow Jesus through life’s joys and challenges. As a pastor’s wife and Bible teacher, she’s served audiences throughout the United States, Africa, Asia, and Europe. But thirteen years in Hong Kong revolutionized the way she read and understood the Bible.

Reared in a Western individualist society shaped by a guilt-innocence worldview, Nancy encountered a collectivist honor-shame culture in Hong Kong with striking similarities to the biblical world. Viewing Scripture through both perspectives brought well-known passages to life, revealing details sometimes obscured by Western assumptions.

Nancy brings those cultural insights to her writing, speaking, and Bible teaching. By exploring biblical characters within their historical and cultural settings, she helps readers see familiar stories with fresh eyes and discover how ancient truths apply to contemporary struggles.

A graduate of Baylor University, Nancy has been married to her husband, Harry, for fifty-seven years. They live in the foothills of the Appalachians in North Georgia and have three children and eleven grandchildren. When not studying or writing, Nancy enjoys an intriguing book, lunch with friends, and time with family.
